As we continue to develop our help section please feel free to contact us if you have specific questions that we haven’t answered below.

What is GIGExchange?
GIGExchange is a peer-to-peer (P2P) exchange allowing gamers to wager against one another on games of skill.

What games can I wager on?
GIGExchange plans to support wagering on any game of skill however while we’re in beta we will be limiting the number of supported games to ensure that the system runs smoothly. If you have suggestions for games you’d like to see supported during beta please e-mail us.

How do I place a wager?
First you’ll need to signup. Then click on the FIND A MATCH tab. Select the game you’d like to play and look for a suitable opponent in the game lobby (make sure to look at the player’s win/loss record and feedback). You can communicate with other players in the game lobby by using the chat window at the bottom of the page or by including a message when you submit a challenge. Once you and your opponent both accept the terms of the match the game will start.

Is this legal in the United States?
Yes wagering on games of skill is legal in the United States under Federal Law; however there are state bans in the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and Vermont. You may also be subject to certain restrictions depending on where you live. You must be at least 18 years old to wager for real money using GIGExchange.

What about outside of the U.S.?
Please consult the laws in your jurisdiction if you are unsure of the legality of wagering at GIGExchange.com.

Can I play for fun?
Yes. You can use GIGExchange to play for fun using points instead of real money.

How do I make deposits and withdrawals from my GIGExchange account?
You can deposit and withdraw funds into and out of your GIGExchange account with a credit card or by using PayPal.

How does GIGExchange handle cheating and fraud?
Some games are integrated with GIGExchange meaning we can independently verify the outcome of the game and settle the wager accordingly. Other games are not and the wager must be settled by the players. If the players do not come to a consensus the match will be considered undecided and the money wagered will be refunded minus GIGExchange’s transaction fee. Players are encouraged to leave feedback for one another at the conclusion of a wager. This feedback is public information and will be used by others to evaluate the integrity of that player in the future (Non integrated games are currently not available on the web site).

What’s the cost of using GIGExchange?
GIGExchange does not charge a subscription or membership fee. We charge a transaction fee for wagers placed using our system. The fee can varies by style of play and amount wagered. The fee can range from 3% to 25% on Peer to Peer matches/games. The fee for Tournament Style play is 25%.
